An Artist's Abstract Response to Rural Experiences

New paintings by regional artist, Heidi Jeub, will be on exhibit at the Gallery St. Germain, beginning January 8, 2020. “Remote: An Abstract Response to Rural Flight” is a series of paintings and interdisciplinary pieces that address the complexities of rural life, and a response to the oversimplification of a not so simple story.

Press Release: Tiny School of Art & Design

Artist, Heidi Jeub, created a new way to bring arts education and arts experiences to new communities and neighborhoods. In the summer of 2019, she was awarded a grant through the McKnight Foundation to build her vision for a traveling art studio, which she has named the Tiny School of Art & Design. This 14’ long by 8.5’ wide trailer, looking more like a tiny house on wheels, carries art materials and studio furniture to communities that do not have access to arts activities.

Creative Community Fellowship with National Arts Strategies

Alexandria, VA – NAS proudly introduces the 25 talented change makers of Creative Community Fellows’ fifth cohort. From exploring culture, heritage and identity through the lens of Arab and Arab American artists in Minnesota, to an arts program providing transitional employment opportunities for women experiencing homelessness in Arkansas, to increasing civic engagement in young people by enrolling them as socially-engaged artists in Australia, the leaders selected to this cohort possess inspiring visions to create stronger and more inclusive communities through arts and culture.
